Seal Hunt Cont.

This is just two actions that i know that have been in effect to stop Canada's Cruel Seal Hunt

1. Parts of Europe have banned Canada's seafood and seal furs products

2. Some U.S. states and Canadian citizens have boycotted Canada's Seafood Industries

If you know some others please respond, so i can add them to the list.

My Progress Throughout This Week's Opinon (2)

This week, I've learned that donation to global warming research is useless. We are humans, the researchers are human, too! They won't be some other cretures that careless, they can do research themselves, they don't need money to eat, so there is no reason for us to donate some money to this reaseaches. If you have any concern about My Progress Throughout This Week's Opinon (2), please feel free and talk with me about it. Thank you, folks.

Cod Collapse on Canada' s East Coast

In 1992 Newfoundland and Labrador, the cod stocks collapsed, the Canadian governmeant then realized that they had to close the fisheries causing over 40,000 people to lose their jobs. Communities struggled to recover from this state of shock. The Canadian government had been warned by scientists and environmentalists that the cod stocks were overfished and overexploited before this catastrophe had gone any further. This is a great example of outcomes when overfishing occurs. The future is still unclear for the cod stocks, but this catastrophe has become a warning bell to other countries that practice this overfishing.

Canada's Cruel Harp Seal Hunt

Help Save the Seals! Every year the Candian seal hunt is taking place in the north were its the largest slaughter of marine mammals on Earth. Every year there are about 250 000+ seals killed by hunters for their pelts. These mammals are killed very in humanly, most being skined while still conscious. Many killed are younglings called white coats because of their white furs, as they get older their fur sheds and turns darker. After the seals are skinned, hunters usually leave the carasses on the ice or dump them in the sea. The oraganization that control the total number of allowed seal deaths is called the DFO, they were responsible for the cod fish collapse as well in Canada. If this continues further more the seals will be in a state of risk of extinction.

My Progress Thoughout This Week's Opinons

We have our mouth to speak, our ears to hear, so why don't we help using our thoughts to protect this world? Us, as humans should protect the world with our hand, not only this, waste less and save the energy is another way to help and protect. Some of us does not really care about the situation right now, but in the future, this situation will get big and afffect all of us. Help now and tell me everything that you know that could help!

This week's progress: I've gotten lots of response over the week, thank you if you were in this responding group. One thing I have to point it out, a Vanuatu concern citizen was helping me putting this world to the original spot. He said" Coming from a country of where the effects of climate is worsening and continuously affecting us, I strongly think this is a very important note to not just us pacific island countries but for the whole wide world. This is not a 1 man problem....this will affect our communities and societies in the near future if we are not really careful of how we behave and react towards our environment especially the effects of Climate change." - Vanuatu concern citizen
This person said the climate change isn't only for a 1 man job, maybe this is our job to complete. Just write your thoughts and respond to my questions, thank you very much.

In the future, what effects might global warming have on world?

1. The sun will melt the ice on the Greenland and rise the water level to cause some dramatic effects thoughtout the world.

2. Global warming will cause some animals to extinct.

3. Global warming will increase some new diseases to the earth.

(Remember, choose the opitons that has the same thought as you).
